During the summer of 2022, I set off on a journey to design and create a functional battery pack that produces 43.2V while maintaining a capacity of 216 Wh at 5.0 Ah. This was a part of the electric skateboard project found within the 3D modeling tab which depicts a rendering of an electric skateboard that has been turned into reality. Using a spot welder and Samsung 30q 18650 cells I designed the perfect battery pack to fit in the housing that was previously designed. Using a generic BMS I wired up the system and charged it to full capacity to ensure everything worked, watching closely at the discharge time to ensure proper operation.
I designed the battery pack in this configuration to optimize the space that I had in the inital design of the skateboard.
